LIFE SKILLS / VOCATIONAL TRAINING

This component instills critical life skills, including:

• financial literacy, 
• proper hygiene, 
• diet and nutrition, 
• physical fitness and wellness, 
• competitive sports, 
• martial arts, and 
• other skills. 

It also  teaches 

• self-discipline and responsibility, 
• job search and interviewing skills, 
• meal planning and preparation, 
• defensive driving skills and acquiring a drivers license, 
• car maintenance, 
• etiquette, 
• social skills, 
• maintaining a personal daily schedule, 
• etc. 

The goal is to fully prepare a student to live a productive life. 

Through TILT's business and educational partnerships, youths are setup to learn skills and find jobs by internships, formal or informal apprenticeships, job shadowing, and community college certificate programs.
